The Unihertz Jelly Star is a 3 inch Android 13 smartphone that is a notable upgrade to the Jelly 2 and Jelly and Jelly 2E from China’s Unihertz company. Here is my review using the Jelly Star as a minimalist phone in Australia.
When people become cognizant with the fact that they are wasting hours each day staring at their smart phone and are missing the interaction with the world around them, their initial tactic is to use their existing smart phone and uninstall social media apps, the web browser and possibly install some type of minimalist interface (aka launcher) to make the installed apps/icons less appealing and harder to find.
After using the Opel Touch Flip 4G for the past 12 months, and experiencing a few issues, including the hinge getting loose/wonky, insufficient storage space to update applications, I started to look for a better option.
